2007 MAY Acro Camp
IAC34 held it's second aerobatic camp for it's club members on
May 19th at Union Co. Airport (MRT) in Marysville Ohio.

This was an
excellent opportunity to get together for some fun flying! We had a
great forecast, which turned out the way most forecasts seem to;
about 50% right 50% of the time… It was a little cool out there for
the spectators and judges, but good flying weather.
The coaches for the event were CFI’s Gordon Penner, Brett Hunter
and Emerson Stewart.
We also had aerobatic judges, Boyd Birchler and Randy Reinhardt
on hand. Their judging resulted in Primary, Sportsman, Intermediate
and Advanced smooth patches being earned by some of the attending
pilots.
IAC 34 members who flew were; Chris Keegan in his newly
purchased DR109, Gordon Penner in the Decathlon, Brett Hunter in his
highly modified Pitts S2C which he is now calling the “Magnum
Pitts”, Jeff Granger in his newly acquired Extra 300, Emerson
Stewart in a Pitts S2A which is for rent in aerobatic training at
Waynesville and Chris Magon in his Pitts S2B.
Guests to the event and possible new members were; Doug Tracy
flying the Extra 200 that Jeff Granger just sold him, Tom Lester in
his AcroDuster, Eric Dust in his Super Decathlon who is a local
Marysville resident and NetJets pilot Paul Heimann who flew with
Gordon in the Decathlon.
"We all owe Randy a great big thanks for his tireless efforts and
forthright critique. He is a rare asset for us as a group and the
sport on whole. He said that he judges like 30 flights per week
normally, that is a passion for the sport. Really good of him to
come all the way to Marysville to help us out”, said Brett Hunter .
“ I thought the Acro Camp was a great success. Most all of
our meetings in good weather should involve some flying”, said Jeff
Granger

2006 Acro Camp
IAC34 held it's first aerobatic camp for it's club members on
October 7th at Union Co. Airport (MRT) in Marysville Ohio. The
camp
was supervised by club President Gordon Penner and club Vice
President
Brett Hunter. The idea was to offer critique and plenty of
flying in the
practice box, and have fun and food with friends. Mission
accomplished!

Aerobatic Open
The Ohio
Aerobatic Open is an annual regional competition for
Mid-America. It is sanctioned
by the International Aerobatic Club. The current home
of the contest is in Marysville, Ohio
at Union County Airport. (MRT) The contest takes place
in June of each year. Please take
