2008 May Acro Camp
Even though the forecast was for rain
and wind, we forged ahead and ended up with flyable
weather. Patty Anderson flew the Primary sequence with Gordon
Penner in the Decathlon.
New comer to aerobatics, Megan Straker heard about acro camp and
came over from
Belfountain to take her first aerobatic ride. Chris Keegan
flew over in his DR109. It has
some recent maintenance so he elected to fly some aerobatics with
Jeff Granger in his
Extra 300L - they had a blast. Eugene Neds dropped by to do
some hangar flying
and observe the aerobatic flights. Local and club member, John
Sollinger dropped by
in his Nanchang CJ6 to join in the festivities. After Patty
flew, we got to sit in on her
de-brief and received some insight into the finer points of
aerobatic flight from
MCFI-A, Gordon Penner. We presented Jeff Granger with his 2007
Advanced Mid-America
Regional Trophy and then all went over to the new China Buffet.
