2. QUESTION: What does FAA stand for and
does that have anything to do with IAC34? Do you ever have a booth at the
Indiana State Fair?
2. ANSWER: The FAA is the
Federal Aviation Administration. You can read more about them at their
website:
http://www.faa.gov/about/mission/activities/ They are a government
body which regulates and promotes aviation safety.
The IAC is the International Aerobatic Club. You
can read more about the national organization at their website:
http://www.iac.org/. The IAC is basically an
aviation club which promotes educational activities related to aerobatics
and sanctions Regional and National aerobatic contests.
IAC34 is the Ohio Chapter of the IAC. We have a
lot of members who are living in Indiana, but they come over to activities
that we host and sponsor in
Ohio. Generally speaking IAC34 doesn't attend or sponsor events as a
club effort outside of the state of Ohio. At the current time, the only Air
Shows that we attend as a club function and set up an information booth at
are; the Dayton Airshow in July and Blue Ash Airport Days in September -
both in
Ohio.
